We are seeking a Production Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our manufacturing assets at the Rheinmünster site.


In this role, you will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Quality, Research & Development (R&D), Technical Service & Development (TS&D), and EH&S teams to optimize plant performance, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will provide technical leadership to operators, support production planning and execution, and contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, reliability, and productivity. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to build technical expertise in manufacturing operations while developing leadership, troubleshooting, and project management skills.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Monitor daily plant performance and key production metrics, including asset utilization, production efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Support execution of the production schedule and work with Supply Chain and Operations to meet customer demand safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and remove production bottlenecks and troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues.
  • Analyze process data and process control trends to improve operational performance.
    Support plant startups, shutdowns, and turnaround activities.
  • Develop operating guidelines, train operators, and provide technical guidance to operating teams.
  • Drive productivity, quality, and operational performance improvements through continuous improvement initiatives, root cause investigations, and small capital projects.
  • Lead or participate in EH&S, Responsible Care, MOC, PHA, and other safety, environmental, and compliance activities.
  • Support investigation and resolution of quality issues, customer complaints, and new product introductions while ensuring compliance with product specifications and quality systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, TS&D, Engineering, and Production Planning to optimize plant performance, resource utilization, and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Approximately 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or a Master’s Degree with relevant internship/co-op experience.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production and process performance data.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing, process industries, or continuous manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of process control systems, industrial automation, Root Cause Analysis, Process Safety Management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of production planning, quality systems, manufacturing excellence programs, and plant improvement projects.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
