Trinseo is looking for a 

Logistics Leader

 

The position will have responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

 

Run the Business

  • Executing regional logistics strategy, to include, but not limited to:
  • Engaging with Businesses and OF to ensure the organization delivers against service goals
  • Manage the regional budget and local HR processes
  • Directing the training the new Supply Chain organization and developing the desired culture (e.g., accountability, etc.) in the team
  • Recruiting new recruits

 

Change/Improve Business

  • Working with Regional Functional and Process & Systems specialists, and EH&S drive continuous improvement of service, cost, and transportation safety
  • Optimizing the use of physical and human resources to drive productivity improvements
  • Working together with regional leaders for Logistics Procurement, Planning, and Customer Service create a customer-centric team with an end-to-end mindset, and focused on delivering business results

Verantwortungsbereiche

Run the Business: - 45%

Executing regional logistics strategy, to include, but not limited to:

  • Engaging with Businesses and OF teams to ensure the organization delivers against service goals
  • Manage the regional budget and local HR processes
  • Directing the training the logistics organization and developing the desired culture (e.g., Proactive, Accountable, Agile, Collaborate and Engage) in the team
  • Recruiting new recruits

Change the Business: - 30%

  • Implementing Trinseo Logistics Strategy in conjunction with Supply Chain and Business leadership, and Functional and Process & Systems specialists
  • Implementing relevant strategic projects and locally initiated projects designed to improve service and cost performance
  • Providing Regional leadership for transportation safety improvement programs
  • Leading initiatives designed to raise the quality and competencies of logistics employees, and improve work process performance

Compliance: - 10%

  • Assure Regional logistics activities are performed safely, in compliance, and in an environmentally responsible way, consistent with the logistics strategy

HR Responsibilities for People Manager including, but not limited to: -10%

  • Directing all people management responsibilities including performance management and compensation.
  • Accountable for improving performance, tracking and communicating deployment plans, and resource requirements.
  • Responsible for setting direction of team and ensuring that actions align to and support organizational strategic objectives.
  • Leading, training, coaching, motivating and rewarding team members.
  • Creatively create a positive environment where your team members can learn and grow and feel respected and valued for their contributions.

External Relationships: - 5%

  • Shared responsibility (with S2P) for relationships with 3rd party logistics providers, establishing contacts with regional regulatory bodies and industry associations, key customer contacts when required by the Business.

Qualifikationen

Minimum Education Required:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, Supply Chain, finance, or technology related field. Individuals with other relevant qualifications and experience will be considered.

 

Minimum Experience (years and type):

5-8 years of experience in a relevant service role (e.g. Procurement, Customer Service, or Supply Chain disciplines) preferred. Work experience in the chemical, safety or transport industries is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Process thinker
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail (esp. in transactional processes)
  • Results driven
  • Service and safety focus
  • SAP experience
  • Previous leadership experience
