EH&S Delivery Specialist – Europe

EH&S Delivery Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role: 

The role includes responsibility for monitoring the EH&S regulatory landscape across Europe. As such, this role will have a direct impact on Trinseo's EH&S compliance. This role will also have global responsibility for one or more EH&S processes/programmes, depending on the specific expertise of the successful candidate (e.g. leading the global audit programme, providing in-depth expertise on a specific EH&S area such as personal safety, environmental expertise, industrial hygiene and occupational health).

• Maintain knowledge of operational EH&S regulatory requirements in all European countries in which Trinseo operates to assist each site in identifying and meeting compliance obligations.
• Identify potential improvements to EH&S processes and programmes within the area of in-depth expertise to drive efficiency and performance improvement.
• Provide staff development and coaching, performance reviews, overall direction and sharing of best practices.
• Requesting, interpreting and communicating technical information from vendors, suppliers and regulatory agencies.

Ensure compliance:

• Serve as a subject matter expert on operational EH&S regulatory requirements across the region.
• Monitor the EH&S regulatory landscape for new or changing regulations
• Translate EH&S regulatory requirements into actionable tasks and assist facilities with implementation plans
• Communicate across cross-functional, international teams and
• facilitate multidisciplinary teamwork

• B.S., Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 5 to 10 years' experience with a robust mix of
• Regional EH&S (regulatory) expertise
• Understanding of EHS management systems
• Experience working in the chemical sector, particularly with highly automated chemical processes
• Expertise in personal safety preferred
• Familiarity with all aspects and issues related to EH&S in one or more European countries
• Fluent and in-depth knowledge of multiple topics
• Ability to translate complex requirements into simple tasks and to motivate and influence through clear communication in all media - email, teams, face to face.
• Comfortable working across cultures.
